Wall Street a bigger source of terrorism than the Middle East

The damage done to the countries financial condition is clearly severe. Millions of Americans have experienced hardship and pain as a result of foreclosures, layoffs, and lost investments. Just how bad is the damage?

According to US Director of National Intelligence,  Admiral Dennis Blair, it is worse than terrorism. He warned that the deepening economic crisis posed perhaps our gravest threat to stability and national security. It could trigger, he said, a return to the “violent extremism” of the 1920s and 1930s.It turns out that Wall Street, rather than Islamic jihad, has produced our most dangerous terrorists. In his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, he agreed with my previous predictions of severe consequences such as bread lines and social upheaval.

This is significant. The US Director of National Intelligence is warning about “violent extremism,” “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” and “loss of functioning political and legal order.” Those are his words, not mine.

He went on to recommend being prepared for the military to use force against hostile groups inside the United States.

On the very same day news stories were released describing how military bases are being turned into “shelters” for citizens in the event of emergencies.
