Are you prepared for the worst?

On December 5, I stated the following:

Thirty days from today, I suspect that many companies who kept up appearances through the holidays will fold or begin massive layoffs.

Today, 6 major companies announced a total of over 70,000 cancelled jobs. That is on top of the other announcements last week.

This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I’ll bet we have a 200,000 layoff day within 60 days.

That will start tricking down to everyone soon. Even if you have a job, your income may be reduced. Municipal services will be cut as states and cities go bankrupt.

Take care of whatever you need to in preparation for some really bad times. It is not a question of “if” anymore. It is not even a question of “when”. The only question is how well you can deal with it.
